Dr. Angelastro's Story

Originally from the Northeast, Dr. Angelastro's passion for medicine began early, fueled by a love for science and helping others. Having obtained his B.A. in Psychobiology and spending time in Neurosurgical research at Thomas Jefferson University, he attended Osteopathic Medical School in New Jersey before completing his Emergency Medicine residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania.

After years of practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, he moved to Sarasota, attracted by the region's vibrant lifestyle, waterfront living, and year-round sunshine. He took a position with the Emergency Medicine department at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where he practiced for over a decade.

His group was called upon to open Urgent Care centers, where Dr. Angelastro played an instrumental role in creating the successful organization. Since leaving SMH, he has practiced in Urgent Care and dedicated 8 years to Primary Care, enjoying helping patients navigate the medical world for optimal preventive health.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Angelastro is an avid cyclist, mountain biker, hiker, and fly fisherman. He enjoys tennis, skiing, and Olympic-style weightlifting. A lifelong supporter of Philadelphia's Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers, he and his family share a love for outdoor adventures and sports in the beautiful Sarasota-Venice area. His youngest son, Andre, is even named after tennis legend Andre Agassi.
